Linergy Ltd announce free disposal service for culled calves under the NI BVD Eradication Programme 30/07/2013

Linergy Ltd have confirmed that they will not charge farmers for disposing of calves that have been culled due to being persistently infected with BVD virus as part of the voluntary phase of the Northern Ireland BVD Eradication Programme.

To avail of this service, carcases must be fresh and delivered to Linergy at Granville Industrial Estate, Dungannon, BT70 1NJ (028 8772 5020). A copy of the letter issued by the AHWNI database, confirming a positive or inconclusive result, must also be presented with the calf to confirm its eligibility for this service. A charge will continue to apply for all calves collected from farms.
